We believe that God is building one united church that He has purposed to create disciples. The church consists of all who have placed their trust in Jesus without regard to their age. There is no age limit given in scripture concerning this commandment: "Go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." Matthew 28:19-20 Although it has been a popular trend in recent years to continually separate out children and youth for instruction, we do not see scriptural support for this model. This is not to say such models are incorrect, but just not a fit for the vision God has given Valley Alliance. It is our belief that most instruction should come within the family, with the church providing support and guidance to the family unit so that it may function as God intended.
We recognize that children and youth have different learning characteristics and styles. There are times that it is appropriate and effective to provide homogeneous age grouped instruction. (e.g. Sunday School, Quarterly Youth Events), However, we feel that differentiated instructional models that occur within our services will benefit all worshipers without regard to age.

We do have a nursery available for parents to utilize. Currently we are not staffing the nursery, but as our congregation grows this is a policy that might change. It is regularly maintained and stocked with toys and other age appropriate materials. Do not be afraid that you will miss the sermon, as the nursery is equipped with the technology to have the service audio broadcasted in real time.
We are excited for the launch of our revamped Sunday School Program. This exciting new program is under the direction of Victoria Mulvihill, an experienced and highly trained educator. Our Sunday School ministry is for children ages 5-12. It meets during our regularly scheduled Sunday Morning services.
It is a distinctive of our ministry that we believe that Youth should be trained alongside the adults within our Men's and Women's ministries. It is our stance that the youth are not the church of tomorrow, but vibrant members of the Church right now! Youth aged thirteen and older are encouraged to sit alongside their parent/guardian during our services. Families are encouraged to discuss the content of the service at home.
It is true that certain topics might be best taught to teens directly. We also recognize that developing positive relationships with other teens who love God is important. That is why we purpose to hold quarterly teen driven events that minister directly to them. These meetings are held under the leadership of our Family Ministries Coordinator, Ralph Wallace.
